Silverlands Tanzania Limited had the privilege of hosting a visit from Hon. Emmanuela Kaganda, the former Arumeru District Commissioner. Her collaboration with Silverlands has significantly contributed to creating opportunities for women to enter the poultry business. During this time, 10 extension officers participated in a two-week training course at our poultry training center to support women's groups in poultry farming.
Hon. Emmanuela Kaganda's visit was marked by insightful discussions and firsthand observations of the impactful work being done at Silverlands. The training course provided the extension officers with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills, equipping them to effectively mentor and guide the women’s groups.
The initiative emphasized sustainable practices, economic empowerment, and community development. Participants delved into topics such as best poultry farming techniques, business management, and the importance of maintaining biosecurity to prevent disease outbreaks.
The collaboration between Silverlands and Hon. Kaganda has not only enhanced the livelihoods of many women but also reinforced the message that inclusivity and support can drive substantial community growth. Moving forward, Silverlands Tanzania Limited is dedicated to continuing its efforts in empowering more women and enabling them to achieve success in the poultry business.
